The main difference between monkey and humans is an opposing thumb that allows to do many more activities than swinging from trees.
For example we can peel a potato.
Holding the knife with four fingers and pressing the thumb on the potato allows to control and "drive" the knife precisely under the skin without waste.
This motion is what makes the human able of great carved and sculpured masterpieces as well as going to the Moon.
